  Criminal justice rehabilitation

Both Clark and Lydia have extensive experience working in the criminal justice system, in community, prison and hospital settings, training staff and working directly with clients. In the UK, they have trained hundreds of staff in facilitating all types of groups, and supervising groupwork.

Changing Offending Behaviour

Many of Clark & Lydia's approaches to rehabilitation in criminal justice are set out in their new book Changing Offending Behaviour, published in July 2014. A one-stop resource of practical exercises for professionals to use in direct work with offenders aged 16+, it covers must-know theory and is packed with practical exercises that work. The book includes photocopiable resources that can be used in direct work with clients. Read more about Changing Offending Behaviour

Clark & Lydia's expertise and experience includes:

  • Specialism in working with people convicted of sexual abuse and domestic abuse.
  • Working alongside projects which support the victims of serious crime, including a long standing collaboration with Circles of Support and Accountability across the UK.
  • Training workers from the Probation Service of Latvia to run a groupwork programme for sexual offenders.
  • Working with the Police to enhance interviewing skills when working with people suspected of having committed sexual offences.
  • Expertise at working with people who deny their convictions, and with involuntary clients.

We are open to collaboration with agencies across the criminal justice sector, to develop projects working directly with clients, or their families, or to design and deliver staff training.

'During the 10 year period that they worked on the national training contract, Clark Baim and Lydia Guthrie were consistently solution-focussed. They always found constructive and positive ways to move forwards.'
